After polling DCC members for their preferences, it has been decided to try playing our Tuesday games in NINETY MINUTES, rather than SEVENTY MINUTES as we have for a little over a year.
This means we will open the door at 6:00 PM (or as close to that as possible).
Also, our Game 90 will start ONE HALF HOUR EARLIER, at SEVEN PM, rather than 7:30 PM as in the past.
This means each player will have an hour and a half on their time clock and a total of 3 hours to play the game. The club used to have the "Game 90" time control, but decided to try a shorter game to attract younger players still in school.
This will allow players to have a stronger game. We hope it is is more conducive to strong chess.
